Long day, took the day off work to ... work .. on these damn trees that are everywhere.. oh and I'm sick so it's like I work for 20 minutes and have to take a 20 min break... not like me .. sorry I'm wining.. I did get to run a stihl 661 today with tuned intake and exhaust ports.. that was enjoyable... drinking a hb hazy which I served to my buddy for helping.. and bringing his stud of a chainsaw to help out.

Fresh figs, dried figs, fig jam, fig preserves, fig liqueur, boiled figs, fried figs, fig scampi, fig ettouffee....
Peppered fig old fashioned. Goes very well with fig, goat cheese and prosciutto pizza. Think I might try some fig balsamic vinegar. I need more delayed gratification in my life.

Cheers to @Thorrak! What a great FotD submission. Very unique. It cost me $129 to get 3 W12s and a glass back in 2015/16?

Between the flights, rental car, train tickets, and bribes for my partner to help carry it all, that sounds about right. 🤣

Absolutely worth it! Amazing beer.

Getting low on the Czech Pilsner. Been an awesome run of 8 batches over the last year, perfecting it to my taste buds. I love Saaz. But tomorrow I am doing a German Pilsner to change it up.

Still milking the Czech Pilsner & loving it. I win an reward on every sip.

Speaking as a confirmed sourdough fiend, those loaves are beautiful. Fantastic work!
Thanks, I started my sourdough extravaganza almost a year ago, making a loaf or 2 a week, different variations.. now I'm starting to feel comfortable not following recipes and just doing whatever. Still working on my sourdough pizza crust though, that has been a little tough to nail down, I think more on the timing, my last pizza dough overfermented and I made it work but it was a challenge, a sticky one.

Alesmith makes one mighty nice Pale Ale! Or is it a lightly hopped IPA? That's a question for the ages, it's not going to be answered here. I will say this - .394 Pale Ale is a hoppy and refreshing Ale - One apparently developed with and for Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn. Another San Diego favorite!

American IPA's trace their roots back to British IPA's. The interesting thing is, if you were drinking an original British IPA, you would think its a hoppy Ale like this. Those British versions, while the progenitors of the style - aren't nearly as hoppy as their American progeny!

.394 Pale Ale is a absolutely delicious APA or IPA - take your pick. It is brewed in San Diego and has a 6% ABV. Moderate head, light lacing, this is a terrific beer to pick up a 4 pack - and enjoy it on a Saturday afternoon. Drink it all, it's worth it! Cheers!

First bottle of HB oatmeal stout. Only conditioned 2 weeks so far. Tastes good but needs another week or so for better head.

I'm always doing that--impatient and wanting to try one. :)

Is that the one with the Windsor? It looks like it cleared up just fine and turned into a great looking stout. :bigmug:
