Having a local brewed beer. Very delicio
After the first sips I thought, there's something funny ... then I realised the 7.9% ... holy smoke. Bought it because of the Nelson and of curiosity.

"Schnabulierer" is like a "relishious muncher".
Camba Bavaria is a brewery founded by the brewing systems manufacturer BrauKon and started as showroom. Now they're doing quite "fancy sh!t" in terms of local minds. Lot's of different styles to taste which is quite unusual for our region.

Guinness knocks it out of the park with their fantastic Draught Stout. That’s “Draft Stout” for all the rest of us!

I remember when I started brewing, I was talking to some non-beer folk – they asked me what kinds of beer I could brew, and one of them I answered back with was “Stout”. For a newbie, Stout is an easier brew, less things to go wrong brewing a Stout! So the response I got back was “Wow, those are really strong beers aren’t they?”

Well, as we all know most styles can be brewed at whatever strength you feel like – Dextrose additions make all sorts of ABV adjustments possible without changing the beer too much. With Guinness, this scrumptious Stout is held to a very conservative 4.1% ABV, so you won’t be falling off that bar stool any time soon! Bartender, I’ll take another!

What’s really interesting with Guinness Draught Stout is their Nitrogen releasing widget inside each can – this provides the same nitrogen pour - tight foam, frothy and dynamic head that you would experience in many top pubs. In addition to the photo, I did a video clip showing the nitrogen charged head cascading through the Stout. Really brings the pub experience home! Similar to many Cask Ales, the carbonation/Nitrogen levels are a bit low, especially if you are used to a standard 2.5 volumes found on most beers. That’s OK, it’s the style. Cheers!

Enjoying a brew after a hike in the gorge. A wintry mix but overall we lucked out. Conditions were good overall.
Cheers!
Care to elaborate on "the gorge"? Love hiking myself...

Yum yum. This reminds me I still have a Rye IPA to brew.

Tired as all get out. My daughter had a “midnight madness” softball tournament this weekend. Games at 3:25 and 6:15 am Saturday morning and then 10:45 pm Saturday night. I’m wiped, but having a Hb ESB to close out the weekend.

Proud dad moment: she pitched a complete game shut out (6 innings before time ran out) and they won 1-0. Had 2 on with no out in the sixth but pitched out of the jam (and had help from her team in the field)!

View attachment 869105Finally found them here in the Finger Lakes Region of NY!!
Enjoying this bottle where the other five sit in the cellar with past years batches.
Delicious as always!

You’re more disciplined than me! I drink 5 and save 1 each year. I had a 2020 (picked up pre covid) after Ohio State won the CFP championship back in January!
