This might be the most basic white girl beer I’ve ever had. It’s actually good, but no more than one at a time.
HB Irish Stout
Decided to do a spur of the moment brew today too. 3 gallon Oktoberfest Märzen. Mine will have Mittelfrueh also. It’s basically going to be a big ass starter for a Bock I want to make in a few weeks.

Pre show beers. Elder tonight downstairs at The Middle East. Possibly the last show I see at this legendary place. Word is they are tearing down the building for new condos and bullsh*t that gentrification brings.

Long day of errands with the hopes of Silvaticus Oktoberfest and Karls sausage.
Sausage fest to say the least but looked like a fun time. Waaay to long of a wait and starving
Headed down to the cellar and talked with the asst brewer for a long time. People at this place are great. We talked about Brett for about 20 minutes. He gave a tour of all the barrels and the stuff out back for buying close to a case of bottles. Then offered me access to the big ass bottle quad on the right that hadn't been released.
OT: 90° and humid #StoutSeasom. I'd Silvaticus' but they're all warm

Peroni is a commercial example. It’s actually pretty good!
HB Märzen Oktoberfest. This is still lagering but I’ve been pulling a small sample every few days to check the progress. It’s clearing nicely and tastes, at least to my Covid numbed palate, pretty good.
Ok enough of the October Fest beers it is still summer. This is a good one

I don’t know if this will out do the Pumpkin Latte beer, but here is a Pumpkin Spiced Daiquiri with homemade pumpkin spiced simple syrup. At the request of my much better half.

Running low on these. Pencilling in a Maine trip. Scored at the Orvis outlet. $1 a saltwater fly. Was hoping to fly a couple of days in the mountains and golf by the sea. May test the waters in my first saltwater attempt and stay entire trip by the ocean

I don’t know what part of the state you’re in, but you gotta grab some Big Timber Porter. One of my all time favorites.
You might have to head out of the holler to find it though
I saw it today when I picked up a mixed sixxer but didn't get one. I've got a few dozen pounds of beer already, BUT if we hit up the store before we go I'll grab a four pack of these

Wife passed out before 9pm so got into the good stuff - Antietam Brewery
Cracked this right as fireworks started in town here for a German celebration. I’ll spend the next two hours trying to calm my cat down and convince him it’s not an invasion. Poor guy. Fireworks last like 15 minutes but he’s on edge for hours
