Weird Muntons Light LME

Anyone ever opened a can of LME to find (a) the volume down about an inch and (b) weird tan solids floating about in it?

Had one happen to me today, and I had to improvise on the fly since I was adding LME at the 30 minute point...

I've had some foaming, if I remember, when I'd heat the LMe, but never had solids.

One other glaring problem I see is that you're drinking water while brewing?!? Clearly that's doing it wrong.

The beer glass is out of the frame... I was finishing off the last of the Irish Red.
