I wish the contraption was more mobile... I would bring it along and do some brewin'.

I could actually bring it... the problem is it's all Nat Gas.... so first Yeager would have to have natural gas in the house and I would have to drill a hole through his wall and run a nat gas line out to the garage.

Hmmm... maybe if I get over there while they're away.

I'm SURE he'll be glad to have the option to use Nat Gas. We'll just act dumb when he gets home. You got that down pat. You just stand behind me and let me do all the talking, it will be fine. Hey where are you skiing this weekend? Al and I are going somewhere on Sunday. I tried to talk her into Tuck or GOS but she's not mentally ready for that yet. I told her we could stick to Hillman's Highway , I know she can handle that but she's still skittish. Let me know where you are headed, maybe we can meet you there. I'm probably going to head to WaWa on Thurs early unless I hear a better idea.

Probably Attatash only because it's not far from my family's cabin and they have programs for the really young kids and that's about 99% of the reason we're going. We want to get ski lessons for the boys. SWMBO and I might not even ski at all.

We're heading up Thursday night, taking them Friday morning, probably staying Friday night and then we'll be back in Norton Saturday. We're not fighting the crowds up there on the long weekend.

I think we're ok for gear.

If anyone wants to bring any of their brews to share with folks there that will be cool. We'll have a few kegs there.

Chris makes some incredibly pedestrian beer but he'll have a lot of it available to make up for how mediocre it is. If you bring some of your own, or stop and grab a rack of something on the way you can numb your taste buds down before you start in on his beer and it won't be that bad. Other than that bring munchables. I'm making chili and Chris said something about chowdah (probably Snows.) And of course, the ground up sheep innards stuffed in the sheep's stomach and boiled for hours.

Hey, I saw somewhere on this thread the mention of using champagne yeast to finish drying out a big beer like this. I'm making an OG 1.44 barley wine and I wanted to try using the champagne yeast. It's been fermenting for a week now with WL005 British Ale yeast and fermentation is starting to slow down. How do I know when to pitch the next yeast. Do I make a starter? What else should I know? Thanks!!
