Waterproofing my thermometer

Hello all.

My third digital probe-style thermometer has just crapped out, so I need a replacement. I am wondering if anyone knows a foolproof way to waterproof those leads-I want to invest in a wireless thermometer so I can watch the temp from inside the house, but no one I know of sells waterproof leads for those.

I've used a digital probe thermometer for 5 years now and never had a problem with waterproofing. As long as you keep the wire out of the water, it should be fine.
