Water from airlock into carboy

Hi,
I need some info/help/advice.i am still pretty new to brewing, I am on my second brew which is a pilsner. After the brew has been fermenting for a bit over a week, I went to check the gravity of the beer. But what I didn't think about realize is that when I open the tap it would suck water from the airlock. Now this has happened 2 or 3 time now. What are the chances that I have made this beer undrinkable? It's pretty near the end of the fermentation. And it was tap water in the airlock.
What should I look out for if any nastys got into my beer?

Sheblom your beer will turn out just fine. A few tablespoons of water even pulled in through an airlock will not harm your beer.

Congrats on your second brew! Now brew some more!

I use cheap vodka in my airlocks so any fruit flies or other nasties that get in the airlock die of alcohol poisoning straight away. Just a little more peace of mind to me... :tank:

Star San solution or vodka is the way to go. I'm sure you've picked up on it now, but remove your airlock prior to taking off the lid.

Or when using the spigot for hydrometer samples,remove the s type airlock. Or on the 3-piece models,remove the cap & center piece 1st. That'll prevent suck back.
