hey guys,

I am including a link to the water profile of my city (Amsterdam) as of Q3 2013. Am planning on doing some IPA's shortly and was wondering if anyone could spot anything in this profile right off the bat that would cause concerns.

if any of the language becomes an issue, just let me know. most words do seem to translate directly to English though. important ones to note:

meetgegevens: Measurements
minimum gemiddelde maximum: min, average and max
Totale hardheid: total hardness

I can also add grainbill if necessary, but was hoping for some general observations first.

Looks pretty nice! Very soft water, so you can use it for sure, but you'll need to boost some things up.

First off, I'm not sure where your alkilinity is. That would be important to find, but I don't know if that translates or what. Based on that, you may need to add some sort of acid into your mash.

Here's what I noticed:
Calcium: 45- needs to be boosted a bit.
Chloride- 75-right about perfect. I wouldn't touch that for an IPA.
Sulfite: 44- definitely needs to be boosted big time.

So I would add a lot of Gypsum. Try to land your Sulfites between 150-250. Use Bru'nWater for a calculator.
