This may be a really stupid question but is there any reason that one would not want to wash a slurry that was from a batch of beer that used dry yeast? It seems like people are always talking about washing yeast that originated from liquid packets rather than dry packets. I want to start getting more out of my yeast and making starters so I just wanted to confirm that the following would be a good practice:
1) Pitch a dry yeast, for instance S-05.
2) After it's finished wash a couple jars like you would for any liquid yeast.
3) Make a starter from this washing for my next brew.
What do y'all think?
