Has anybody tried or even heard of this?
There are many recipes online for walnut leaf wine http://winemaking.jackkeller.net/reques85.asp
There is even a place that sells the leaves for that purpose http://walnuts.us/id4.html
and here are some guidelines for judging spiced beer that include walnut leaves on the list of availible spices for beer http://www.quaff.org/SpeakerNotes/Spiced_Beers-Chuck_West.pdf
However, when I search for a recipe i can find nothing anywhere online. I assume walnut leaves have some kind of specific flavor and I don't even know what that is. I only ask because I have a huge walnut tree outside my house and wouldn't mind trying this in the summer, but I have no idea what to do.
Any ideas or help of any kind, even just in regard to the taste of walnut leaves, would be awesome!
Thanks!
