I preorderd some hops early this month. I am now starting to plan exactly how to put them in. I will do whatever extra work it takes to make these some nice hops. I ordered two Centennial and Neo1.

My main spot I want to put the Neo1 will be a duo use. It is near the front porch and I will lay up twine to add sort of a privacy and shade to the side of the porch. The problem I just thought of was on the corner, there is run off from the roof. Two issues I think I have are drainage and toxicity. The shingles are roughly 10-14 years. This is within 2-3 feet. I would take a picture but it is covered in very hard semi melted ice snow. I live an hour outside of Chicago.

Do you guys have any pointers on what to do?
