VATS is a crutch and should be removed from the game. There, I said it!

I agree and don't like to use it. But, after learning the vats trick to detecting mines, I do use it for that.
I almost never used it in FO3 or FO:NV.
Witcher 3 is half off... might have to buy it.
Was great on the ps4.
I'm at least 4-5 hours in and I still have not seen a sex scene yet. Disappointed...
Was just joking. I don't need a video game for porn, that's what the internet is for...
980 Ti or nothing!
Did I hear correctly that there might be a hardcore survival mode added to FO4? Might be my time to put in more than an hour if that is the case.

Dang, that sounds awesome, although now I'll probably have to dig up mods to allow quicksave (maybe) and fast travel, and then push myself to avoid using them as much as I can. I rarely use fast travel in Fallout games, but once you've been across the entire wasteland a half dozen times and you've got dinky little sidequests pinballing you back and forth, it's just a grind. As for quicksave, I like the idea of playing without regular saves, but I also like to have a backup for when things get bad... Also, try explaining to your irritated wife that yes, you are trying to stop playing but you just have to find a place to save your game. I still remember the day in tenth grade when I made my parents and some friends of the family wait an hour and a half to go out to dinner because of an endless FF7 story scene and the subsequent lack of a save point anywhere in the vicinity.
I like a good survival mode like this where the game picks up a bit of realism and challenge, but I guess I like it up to a certain extent and then I want to fall back on some of the basic comforts of video gaming.
Any tips on how to level properly, if I wonder off the main quests I get slaughtered by enemies 10 levels higher than me.
Stay with the main quests.
Is Witcher any good? When it was released, I heard it was kind of wonky.
Don't recall ever having a game breaking bug either. I did have one quest I could not complete because of a bug, but it did not break the game.
Is the loot system or character development worth anything or is it just story? Stories get skipped through for me, ain't nobody got time fo dat.
For me, it was a solid game all around. Not sure what you are asking. Loot system was typical of just about any game in that I always had more to sell than I needed, higher level weapons were easily found but limited by player level. Character development was typical of any RPG, IMO, level up and boost a stat.
If anything about the game was frustrating it would be adjusting to the combat system. This game forces you to parry and blend melee with magic. On some of the lower level foes you can just hack-n-slash, but higher levels and you have to time your blows, use potions effectively, and use spells in order to win the battle.
That all actually sounds right down my alley. Can't stand boring combat and linear loot system. Might have to give it a shot, think I saw it on sale somewhere. Thanks man.
I just bought it. Installing tonight. Also, any sign of the Win7 install disc I mailed you? I'm guessing probably not yet since it was sent snail-mail.

Do also keep in mind that there are about 16 "free" DLC (mods) add-ons, plus the Hearts of Stone expansion.
I almost never buy DLC. My attention span for most games is finished once I'm done the main campaign.
Understand. there are still 16 free add-on/mods that makes some nice changes to the game and add some content.
Good to know. I just want to see high-res ****ies, TBH. It's the entire reason I bought my video card.
