Vanilla Cream Ale

I am brewing a vanilla cream ale soon and I was wondering if using some fresh vanilla beans split and scraped in the primary or should I use an extract. The recipe is a light one (about 3.6%) so I want a good flavor of vanilla but to not too strong and "fake" tasting.

Let me know your thoughts.

All you will need to know about a Carmel Vanilla Creme Ale is right here. One of the most infamous homebrews ever..lol I brewed it a long time ago, and plan on doing an AG version real soon.
