Vanilla Bean/Coffee Porter Recipe

Thinking of my next beer to do a vanilla bean and/or coffee porter. Looking for any suggestions on a recipe or just advice on specifics.

I am planning to brew this tomorrow night. I read the whole thread and it seems to be a highly acclaimed recipe. Good basis for what you want to do. Several have added coffee and/or vanilla with good results. I am going to brew it as the OP recommends this time and adjust as I feel necessary

I brewed this recipe in 2017 and still have a couple bottles left. It's a fantastic beer. I followed it exactly as listed, and for half of the batch, I added some vanilla bean that had been steeping in a few ounces of bourbon. It was awesome as well, but it didn't hold up as well over time as the base beer.
