Looking to do a take on the apple pie cider recipe on the site but wanted to add some vanilla. Does 2 beans in a tincture sound like enough. I don't want it to overpower. And could I make the cinnamon and vanilla together in a single tincture. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I have used cinnamon in my cider before. But I've never tried vanilla. I would try the vanilla extract. With the cinnamon I usally put 1 tbsp for 3 gallons and I wait for it to sit to the bottom then let it sit for 2 weeks. And then I rack the cider off of the cinnamon. I heard cinnamon sticks are easier to use. Good luck.

I use cinnamon sticks during secondary and just soak them in boiling water before adding to the cider to kill any stowaways.
