I haven't heard of anyone doing this. Depending on your vessel you may have an issue with bugs hiding in scratches, etc where the light can't penetrate. The light doesn't cover everything (handle portion and all) so you have to do multiple exposures to get the mouth of the vessel, etc. Heat/boiling is 100%.
 
It will work one cup at a time.. A larger unit would work, but likely cost-prohibitive
 
the problem with UV is that there is no positive verification that the surface of a container or the entire volume of water has been adequately sanitized.

with boiling, you positively know with reasonable certanty that all of the water is sanitized because you can measure the temperature (or see it boil). with starsan/idophor, you positively know the surface has been sanitized because its wet and definately in contact with the sanitizer...

with UV, who knows if the light has hit every nook and cranny, and for an adequate amount of time? you would only be guessing wildly
