Using frozen hops

just ordered 3lbs of leaf hops from hops direct. i plan on using the food saver to vac seal them down to smaller packages.

my question is this... how long before use should i remove hops from the freezer? is there any "dethaw" necessary, or can i just remove and use?

Just remove and use. They'll probably thaw before they get to the kettle anyway.

I've used frozen hops with no ill effect.

I use them as well. From everything I've read, they stay fresher if you freeze them. They work great and all you have to do is toss them into the boil.
