Does anyone use a net bag to keep the hops in during fermentation? I am thinking it would make the bottling process easier. Eg by removing the bag of hops before bottling.

I let the hops float free.. then use a super fine mesh bag around the tip of my racking cane when racking into my bottling bucket.

One time, following a suggestion someplace on this forum, I used a bag with marbles in it in my carboy. It did keep the hop particles contained, but I had a hard time extracting it through the narrow carboy neck. Now I too just use a fine filter over the end of my racking cane.

I've dry hopped in a bag with marbles using un-flavored dental floss to hold it suspended. I have the Fermonster and tied a wing nut to the dental floss. Drape the floss over the edge, screw on cap, done. Even if it were to slip, the wing nut will not let it fall all the way in. Also give me something to hold when putting in or taking out.

Lastly, wilserbrewer from this site make some very nice bags for both boil and dry hopping.

I do much the same as Jtk78, but use heavy fishing line in place of floss. Couple of stainless steel fixings in the bag to hold it down, and tie the line around the carboy neck. I use a long sock-style bag, so it comes back out easier than it goes in.
