I'm looking to go the kegging route and want to get an order placed soon. This will be my gift from Santa this year. :mug: I figure I'm ok only having 2 different beers on tap at any given time but what if I have more then 2 kegs full of beer in my pipeline? Can the beer more or less be stored in a keg until a tap opens up? If so, for how long?

Thanks

Additional question. I see they sell 3 and 4 way gas distributors. So in essence I could have quite a few hooked up. Could I have one keg carbing up at a higher pressure on one outlet of the regulator and hook up the distributor onto the other outlet of the regulator to keep a few kegs at consistent carb pressure?

I have three taps, but I have room in my fridge for 5 kegs. You can always keg the beer, and either store it at room temperature or in the fridge. A keg is really just a big bottle, when you think about it. You can either force carb, or use priming sugar and carbonate the beer while it's waiting to go into the fridge. Either way works fine.

If you have two regulators, hooked in line together, you can have two different pressures. If you have one regulator, you can use a distributor and put gas on many kegs, but it's all one pressure. In order to have different psi settings, you need two primary regulators.

Thank you for that info. I was looking at the dual regulator setup that Midwest sells.

All I know is I was bottling up my oatmeal stout Sunday night and man it's just alot of work. Then there is all the space wasted storing all my empty bottles. Cleaning and sanitizing all those empty bottles... Well, I'm just really looking forward to kegging. :tank:
