Hi Guys, I will be flying over to Newark NJ from London on 5 Sep 2014 with my friend who has bought a rather nice 1961 Corvette which is presently in PA. We will spend a week driving it down to Nashville TN. Obviously I would love to visit some Micro/Craft breweries on the way, especially as my mate is driving! Lol. I think we are going down the Appalachian Parkway route. Can any of you guys recommend any interesting breweries on the way? Or even interesting homebrew shops etc. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Skyline Drive is a nice stretch of road. Here is a map of a decent concentration of VA breweries that are near the Appalachian Mountains. Starr Hill and Devil's Backbone are two that get pretty good distribution so I've had some of their beers. I wouldn't call them the star attractions for VA breweries but they are close to where you'll be driving.
