My main brew kettle is a 5 gallon canning pot. It is made of enamel coated steel. I don't know what happened, but the bottom corner of the pot got slightly dented and some of the enamel came off of the inside of the pot. It's starting to rust where the steel is now exposed.

Is ok to brew with? I made a batch on saturday, but I scrubbed as much of the rust off as I could. Hopefully the batch will be ok.

I have a stainless steel 5 gallon pot coming in the mail, but I was hoping to use this other enameled pot to do partial mash batches in. What do you think?

Edit: Is there some kind of product that you can use to cover the rust or make a seal over it? Just wondering.
