I've been reading this forum for a couple months now and figured I should introduce myself and contribute more often...

Anyone from Phoenix know about the homebrewers associations (Brewmeisters or ASH), that can tell me about them?

Thanks,

Jorge

- Thanks Jim

-Thanks Michael

- Wild,

Both associations look really good, although I'm in the far east valley... are you planning on going to the beer fest in Flagstaff?

Jorge

Welcome! I am a member of ASH, great bunch of guys in both associations! I would look into whichever one is closer to you and whos meetings best mesh with your schedule. The ASH meetings are on the 3rd tuesday of the month, at 7pm til around 9pm-ish, the meetings are currently held in tempe across from gammage. ASH also gets 10% of our purchases at Brewers Connection donated back to the club, I am sure there are also deals like that with BA as well.

azcoob - 10% is quite a bit considering the amount of money I've been spending on ingredients. ASH also gets discounts at the new brew your own brew store in Mesa, although they are still getting set up and haven't stocked up.

I'll see about joining and going to a meeting this month... I may just join both.

We don't pour at the Made in The Shade fest anymore but we are heading up to Flagg in July to do some drinkin'.

Yeah, Chuck gives BA members a 10% and I believe he still gives a 25% discount on Brewouts.

Nice! I ride daily to work and back.. bout 50 miles each way. Sometimes we ride on the weekends as well. You ride still?

Wow, that's a lot of miles... I don't ride as often as I'd like, but yes... I still have less than 8,000 on my bike which I've had for almost 4 years now!

I have a 2005 ZX10-R (red)... It's a really good bike, it feels lighter than some 600's I've ridden, but the power can be intimidating... love it!
