Oh, that sounds sooooooo good to me.

I have pretty simple tastes. I like pizza, burgers, and fries. Generally, I like those "cheap" burgers from fast-food places and not the "good" burgers. A McDonald's cheeseburger and a large order of fries with an IPA is like heaven to me!

But I actually cooked tonight. I did a sort of pork scallopini, but with balsamic reduction sauce and some lemon zest.

To be honest, the hamburgers and fries sounds better to me!

Oh, that sounds sooooooo good to me.

Ugh, it actually sounds much better than it actually was. I know there's a reason I only want these nasty things 1 a year or so.

Glad hops are good for upset stomachs, because I think I might need to have a few more, for medicinal purposes only, of course.

We don't have a nauseous smiley, do we?

I've worked next to a White Castle for 10 years... eaten there maybe twice. One of my friends used to go every day!

I'd have to go with Pizza and/or wings with Optimator. If I had a day set aside to put myself into a drunken, food-aided stupor, that would be the menu!

Didn't you just have heart surgery not long ago? I hear THA is loaded with lipids.

There's a ton of gastropub type places around here nowadays that all sell "gourmet" sliders, but there's no White Castle or even Krystal Burger to get your regular greasy fast food sliders. Thankfully, we have In-n-Out which sort of balances out the fast food burger equation.

There is a newish bar in my area that sells a bunch of souped-up street tacos with various stuff on them, and has a great craft beer selection. We go to that place pretty often.

EDIT:

Come to think of it, we don't get Bell's out here either. I have had Two Hearted and a few others, but only through the grace of friends that had acquired them.

I've had some White Castles when I was a kid at a friend's house. They used to live down by Detroit. So good!

Then when I was an adult I had chance to visit a White Castle. So NOT good!

My favorite junk food might be Totino's Frozen Pizzas. I can just eat them until the cows come home. And we don't even have any cows!

My favorite is a Lou Malnati's pan pizza with an IPA. It's so good, although not in any way good for you.

Lou's is the best pizza in Chicago IMO as long as you like pan pizza. I had all of the competitor's and Lou's still wins in my book.

I also eat white castle once a year. It's usually at 1 or 2 in the morning and after :mug:I've been drinking.

Giordano's pizza is my Chicago favorite......never had a Lou's.

Wash some of that down with an Edmund Fitzgerald........ooooo, you're on the front burner. Or, is that, "Shut the front door!"?

Lou Malnati's sauce is way too sweet. Leona's has the same problem.

Giordano's rocks. Although I still have a soft spot for Carmen's in Evanston and the Chicago Pizza on Sheffield. Back in the day I lived up the street from there in the only place in all of Lakeview that had a driveway. Fun neighborhood, close to everything, easy parking for me, and my place was set back from the street and quiet. I used to get off the train every day after work and think, "Man, I love living here."

Oh, but back on topic, chicago pizza with a homebrewed steam beer.

Screw you guys! In and out double double with grilled onions and ruination. Yum.

California burrito with sour cream. Add a SN Torpedo, and you have yourself a little slice of heaven.
