I did two batches yesterday; NB's Patersbier and Dunkeliezen. Took a good portion of my day off everything went well. I usually just do one batch at a time because I ferment in a conical then transfer to a better bottle to seconday. However, the dunkelwiezen is just going to be in a better bottle for 3 weeks and boy am I glad I rigged the cap with a blow-off tube. I have never fermented in a bottle before but just to be safe I did a blow off since I have one of those orange caps that makes it easy. To call the fermentation vigorous would be a great understatement, it's going nuts! The conical never looks like this but probably just because the lid doesn't fit tight enough and because I usually do just 5 gallon batches in a fermenter that holds 14.
