Anyone know if I can rig this to not shut off?

I used a turkey fryer for the first time on my first batch. The flame would go out every 5 minutes or so due to the heat sensor. I attempted to bend the sensor away from the flame and broke it in half. After that the flame would not stay on at all.

The picture shows the red button on the left - which needs to be pushed to start flame. The right is the cap/bolt that goes into the top and had a heat sensor coming off of it. I snipped the copper tubing once I broke the sensor.

Any recommendations on how to modify this thing?

Thanks - Matt

Personally, I'd just scrap the hose with the safety valve end. Replace with another hose that doesn't include the safety valve and voila', you're all set.

You should be able to get a hose at a propane dealership... or possibly an Ace Hardware.

On second thought... looking closer at the pic, it looks like you can just unscrew that fitting from your existing hose. Of course then, you'll have a male end on your hose... if you are lucky, there is a nipple on the other side that you can remove.
