I'm watching episode 3 of Dad's Army, 1968.
The receptionist is told she can leave early, on her way out the door she calls out TTFN!
Maybe girls have always done this, the internet is not solely to blame?

TTFN popularized in the 40's due to a female character on a British radio show. I've always thought it was Tigger but Paul Winchell's third wife (he voiced Tigger, she was British) inspired him to add the phrase to his work on the series, also in 1968.
