The Density of DI Water at 20 degrees C is 6.8398906e-11 slugs/femtoliter. Units matter. You're welcome.

Compared to the ppm vs. mg/L controversy the density vs. SG controversy is indeed trivial. Now if I add 50 ppm of calcium to 30 Kg. of distilled water, and then I subsequently toss in 3 Kg. of DME (or accomplish the same via mashing, if all grain), I now have only 30/33 x 50 = 45.45 ppm of calcium. But (presuming essentially no volume change) I still have my starting 50 mg/L of calcium, since I still have only 30 Liters with 50 mg of calcium in each Liter. A difference between mg/L and ppm of 50/45.45 x 100 = 10%, and an error of 10% should not be considered to be trivial. 😲 Should I add more calcium? 🤔
