I am going to receive about 200ml of yeast and wort slurry(75%/25%) from a local microbrewery to use in my homebrew 2 days later. I was thinking of giving them a sanitized graduated canning jar, ice packs, and a cooler for transporting the yeast to my house and then I would keep it refrigerated until brew day when I'll warm it up and add fresh wort to jump-start the yeast. Does this sound like a good plan? Do you have any suggestions? Should I tell them to leave the cap loose until it is cold because of the yeast fermenting and creating gas/pressure? All help would be appreciated. Thank you and cheers!

I use nalgean bottles. They are pretty tough and can hold the little pressure that will be created from that small amount of wort.

I also don't think glass would be a problem either, I would just cover it with a sanitized piece of aluminum foil.

Had yeast slurry shipped to me from a friend at Rogue. He just degassed it, poured it into a couple of 12oz longnecks, and shipped it via FedEx to me in NY state. I would imagine simply having the microbrewery put it in a canning jar or growler for you would suffice.
