After pushing for taps in the kitchen, SWMBO said why not do a wine/beer bar in the hallway behind the kitchen.

Pretty happy with the result:

Kegerator is in the closet just to the left of this... lines are piped through a 2" ABS pipe (going through the wall & cabinet, and behind the fridge that you see pictured above).

~13' of line for Beer, ~26' of line for carbonated water

Blower keeps lines cool (at least it should, just finished today, haven't finished testing).

I am planning to do something like this but with with freezer under the counter.
I will have to have a flexible line out side the the freezer and that's where I start getting a slight headache.


I designed a cabinet that can fit the freezer with a re movable toe board and. I will place the freezer on Rollerblade wheels or some caster with a low profile.

The tower will be made from black iron pipe.

Looks like I might need to run a glycol line or a water line.

Any tips, pointers ?
 
If you need flexible, I might look at glycol (assuming freezer has space).

I air-cooled my tower with a blower - I found Micromatic's guide pretty useful: https://www.micromatic.com/dispense-keg-beer-away-from-refrigerator If flexible, I'd be worried about kinks restricting air-flow.

I know lot's of people have done kegerators directly below their towers... Is flexible really needed? Perhaps a diagram to see what you're thinking?

Also, doing a black-iron pipe, make sure to insulate inside properly so you aren't just using it as a heat sync for the outside air into your freezer. ;)

Finally, be careful going out the side... I almost did this, but decided against it because there are often coils on the sides of the units that you risk puncturing if you're not really careful. Wife was already skeptical on the whole project - she keeps saying I have really bad project creep ($$) so side ported scared me off. :D
