Sorry, I don't have a better way to ask. Is there such thing as too much head? My last 2 brews developed great head with lacing even when the glass was empty. When poured into a cold glass the head seems as thick as egg whites whipped to light peaks.

I'd take excessive head over no head any day. (Hurrr)

One of my recent batches pours a huge head (3/4 glass) if I'm not gentle on the pour, but the beer hasn't suffered in any way. Guess I was just a little overzealous with the priming sugar.

I had the same experience with a couple of batches and had the same thought of egg white/stiff peaks. I did a kit brew a couple of times that used LME and steeping grains. Both the LME and the steeping grains had a bunch of cara-pils in them. I think that's the culprit.
