I second the Magic Hat enjoyment. Im working on a half gallon growler of Single Chair Ale which is only available fresh at the brewery in Burlington. My parents were there last week and they knew better than not to return with anything less then a few growlers so Im stocked right up. Im definitely going to finish this growler and then move right on to old faithful "#9"

OMFG...is anyone watchign teh Predators Wings game?

The announcer on HD Net just said one of the funniest things I've ever heard on a hockey broadcast....

One of the Predators just fell down at center ice all on his own...the announcer goes..."ohoh, look out, banana peel!"...then says or he got shot by a sniper in the stands....LOL...guess you had to be here but it was hilarious....I'm gonna put the whole sequence on Youtube....it was classic. I'll share the link when I get it done.

I am so glad that I wasn't the only person in the world that laughed out loud at that. I thought it was the Tesoro Reposado tequila and Magic Hat Ravell porter talking.....but now I'm certain it was <actually> hilarious.

I was up in Burlington last week too, chilli, drove home w/ 2 growlers of Ravell (my current absolute/alltime/favorite beer), 2 Feast of Fools, and a Roxy Rolles. Awww yea.

I just poured another Magic Hat HIPA....ewwwwww. Now I know what the H stands for. Horrible. I'm wondering if this is a bad batch.

Dude, I've got no love for the HIPA. I think it is a 'miss' for a brewery that generally doesn't miss. I think their Blind Faith is the best commercial IPA made in the country, but the HIPA is just no good.

Ravell is their 'take on a porter' - I 've never seen it in stores even here around Boston but it's been available every time I make the trek up to the brewery in VT. I simply makes every other Porter I've ever had seem inferior.

.....And I look forward to my landlord/upper-neighbor getting home from bartending so I can use his DRV to replay the funniness. I know he recorded the game. Kick aZZ.

Understood. I had a few of those too and was not impressed. Thats the risk you take sometimes with MH. I particularly don't like when they throw their test beers in the 12 variety pack. One is fine and If I really enjoyed it I would provide positive feedback but if I don't like it what am I supposed to do with the other two? Oh well 90% of the time their beers are delicious so I guess I can deal. Was the 60 Winks in the package that you bought dude? wondering your thoughts on that one

It was...and I have not tried it yet. I will though, prolly next. After I dumped the HIPA I went for another Jinx to get the taste out of my mouth.

I've been eyeballing a bag of Bachman Red Hots but my mouth is stull burned to f*ing shreds from eating a <previously> frozen pizza bagel bite right out of the oven. Those things GET F*ING HOT. I'm not even convinced I'm actually tasting this beer and tequila, but MAN does it still 'taste' good. :rockin:

Indeed. A little hoppy. Decent but nothing I would go out of my way to buy in a sixer or something. Interesting label though. I finished them pretty quickly. I guess I don't have any complaints with it.

OMG I think I actually hurt myself Saturday night. Woke up on the couch Sunday with the youngest shoving the remote into my hand so I could turn on some sort of nightmarish PBS DVD for him to torture me with.

Continued to lay on the couch.

Grabbed a shower so I was semi-coherent while watching the WI/OSU game. (great game)

Got my a$$ kicked in 4 straight games of Yahtzee by my eldest before it was time for him to go back to his mom's house. Drove him, came back, took out the trash, then more couch time.

SWMBO, God love her, apparently took a small amount of pity on me and got me some General Tsao's chicken and Crab Rangoon for dinner. No beer.

Fell asleep right after the Oscars.

Still not 100%, but considering seeing how a beer feels when I get home tonight.

All in all Saturday night was a blast tho. :rockin:
