Three way switch and brewtroller

I hope I'm not being to dense, I can't figure out how to wire the dang 3 way switches to function "Automated - Off - Manual".. Do i need the RGBIO8 module? How was it done prior? Sorry for the questions, but there is zero information out there on this for the brewtroller.
