I played chess with Chuck once. I tried to promote a pawn to a queen and he roundhouse kicked me, upsetting the board.

The next game he beat me with a one move checkmate. I wish I could remember the move - I was still recovering from the kick.

Canon L series lenses are the sh1tz, but there's fast glass available elsewhere.

Anyone know of a good wide angle lens? Tamron? Sigma? I'd like to get down to 14mm-ish focal length. Fast. Prime would be OK.

FX or DX?

My 7D is not full frame, so DX I guess is adaquate. But someday I hope to get a 6D, so if the cost diff wasn't substantial I'd prefer an FX.

I have a 10-24 for my crop body that's fairly nice. Not fast, 3.5-4.5 but useful. A 14mm prime would be slick but would be around 21mm on a crop.
