I have ordered some of this crystal malt and have never brewed with it before.
This from the vendor's site

400-EBC Red Crystal Malt (1 lb) - Thomas Fawcett & Sons

For all kinds of red, amber and dark top-fermented beers, especially Bitter, Porter, Stout and Russian Imperial Stout.

Brings rich notes of caramel and toffee

EBC: 350 - 450

Usage: 5% - 10% of grist.

Has anybody any experience with it ?
Cheers

CaraAroma is pretty intense, very malty and sweet, maybe a hint of toffee, but no coffee or roastiness. Goes well in malt forward beers, like weizenbock, amber ales, etc.
