Lucky bastard.......

I sure feel that way :).

Not to brag (or threadjack) but I couldn't have been prouder last one of her classes I sat through. She had the entire room captivated, asking questions... I kept hearing people whisper "she knows her stuff" and "I had no idea until now"

When they found out I was her husband no less than 6 people came over to me to tell me how much they enjoyed listening to my wife.

Actually, Cheezy, she's returning from your neck of the carboy tonight. Has a Kroger out there she's been doing week 1 trainings in.

Got caught in a tornado watch on Tuesday night, by the way... said that was a lot of fun.

:off:Ha! Cool! Maybe you could vid or record audio of her presentation? I can't be the only one who would love a good cheese primer.

Brag all you want cowboy, I've got a super talented wench as well, and I brag constantly. I brag until people tell me to shut up. I brag until people file for separation with their current spouse. ;)

Pretty sure we can just say music. Its dead.

I'd say you have to look around more. It's dead on the radio for the most part, but now with streaming Internet and self-publishing you can find a TON more stuff than you could before, and you don't usually have to buy a whole album to see what they are like.

On a similar note, Pandora before I had to listen to commercials between songs.

I've still GOTTA say, 1 15 second commercial every 30 minutes? AWESOME.

Still, it's all in what you are used to, and I can only imagine how awesome that was.

Cars, and I'm not a car guy, but damn, so few look cool now. With exception, of course, but there's a lot of looks like a Camry out there.

Good new music. Volbeats, Black Keys, Lumineres, Monsters and Men, Mumford and Son, Macklemore.

Grooveshark ftw, listen to specific songs, no commercials, and a pandora type feature to suggest playlists baswed on listening habits, also great for new/indie/underground stuff

Oh hell, Metallica now SUCKS! They just aren't as popular as aerosmith.

You had to go there and jump in the fire. I'm going to add fuel to that and say it's sad but true. They got all holier than thou on everyone like nothing else matters after the one Napster issue and they were better than you. Then went to seek and destroy everyone downloading their music like they were some kind of monster. Listening to their new music is like pulling teeth, Waiting for them to make a real comeback will be the day that never comes. And if it does, their will be a frantic blitzkrieg for the record, where I'll be at the end of the line. I guess their new music is in the eye of the beholder, and I'm just wasting my hate for their unforgiven series. The memory remains though of a master of puppets with no remorse for pure metal.

That was awesome!! I bet it took some time to come up with such a witty method of execution for that rant! Unless it all flowed like one huge oral bowel movement!!:mug: :rockin:

Reading this thread reminds me of how old I'm getting! I remember way back in the mid 70s when cable TV was a new idea, and I happened to live in an are that was one of the first test/early test markets for it. We had 3 channels before, and when cable came around, we had 11. Those 11 channels were AMAZING! For the first time ever I could watch Bozo the clown, and see movies from the 1930s pretty much every day of the week. Back then, with only 11 channels, there was 11 channels with stuff worth watching. Now, with 500+ channels, I can rarely find anything worth a **** to watch.

Ahh yes - I remember that - I was a teenager stuck on Jazzercise - hotly clad women, exercising, cameras panning everywhere...THAT was a great cable channel!

This was what we watched in the 80s when I was in college.

It was a daily exercise program. We never missed an episode. We'd all sit around with beers watching this on a 19" TV. It was pretty much network-sponsored soft core porn for college students. I don't think they could show it today.
