Simple question:

Should I get a combo sightglass and thermometer mount OR should I mount the thermometer separate from the sightglass?

I realize that's more holes, but I would like both a thermometer and a sightglass.

Thanks in advance!

If your end goal is just to get the two items installed in the kettle, I can't think of a single reason why you would want to install them as separate things.

Installing them separately means more holes to cut and more fittings to buy.

+1 on Walker's recommendation. Less is more... The mount is simply a stainless 1/2" tee with a reducer for your sight glass and the thermometer threads in the other hole. Only one hole to drill.
