Thermaltake II Stir plate questions

I went with the thermaltake II fan. Liked the idea of not having to wire anything and it's got speed control built in. I have been looking thru a few post and found conflicting ideas on the washer.

What material should the washer be made of? SS or zinc

I have 2 hd magnets to use should I get a solid disc if I can find one or a fender washer?

Was going to try it with one hd magnet and if that does not work out put the other one on top and double it up.

Would love to see how everyone used there thermaltake fans to.

Nice choice, I used the same fan, for the same reason.

I used an SS washer, but, it was what I had laying around. It shouldn't matter what the material is though, as I glued the magnets to it. I also stacked a couple of the magnets.

I posted a few pics of my stir plate, in this thread.

There are a bunch of other people, that used the same fan, in that thread.

Could I use the metal dish that is on the cage as my washer View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1418684129.101050.jpg
I should be able to cut that off not sure if it would work has anyone else used it?
