Good Morning. Merry Christmas [emoji319] Today, being the second day of Christmas, I plan to celebrate by having my daughter, her husband and my granddaughter over in the afternoon for a big ham dinner! Naturally, I will have a homebrew!

Wife has teased me about the Tilt. Didn't see any delivery in the near future that would lead me to believe she has ordered it, but I'm hoping!

I'm going to plan a short trip over to Manhattan, KS for a Buffalo Sweat out of the Tallgrass Brewing taproom. Just for research purposes, you understand.

No big shopping or deliveries today. Rest mostly after a 60-hr work weekend. May try to transfer my Buffalo Sweat today.

Yes agreed...luckily no deliveries till Wednesday. Although I might help my boss return budget trucks. Today might head to Micheals for a mat for this frame we got the odd thing is the size of the frame is an unusual size. I will see my options.

My buddy has off this week. He had a kid back in April and I seen him once. His excuse is work and the kid iss too much. My reply is we had twins and a 2 yo and I stayed at home during the then worked at night yet I managed to see him at least once at month.

So most likely I won't see him this week. That's my bet. Plus since a year or 2 ago we got a bunch of breweries close by to visit. He never can go even when he was unemployed for a month and his kid was in daycare.

Luckily a bunch of my buddies in my homebrew club can make it out.

Funny thing is my buddy brews also but never wants to brew together or even stop over together see my setup

Well made pancakes for the kids. Time to clean up from yesterday.

It was a success as well another year of hosting a large gathering. We actually said maybe again next year. We like the fact that we can have christmas and not travel with all the presents and come home with even more stuff from the grandparents. Plus when we did do christmas it was one year her parents one at mine at least we can host everyone at one location on one day.

Plus when we would go we would leave a day early and have all the kids presents plus everyone else's. It was just too much.

Then how do you hide the Santa presents. It is more relaxing although cooking for 18 is a big job. Next year it may be 1 turkey and pasta or something else.

I cooked 2 birds a 14 and a 18...we got some leftovers but I am sure we could eliminate the small bird.

We did a 16lb at Thanksgiving. Wife has a great use for leftovers. She takes mashed potatoes as a bottom layer in a casserole, then layers turkey, some veggies, then gravy and tops with any leftover stuffing. That freezes and reheats well for another meal in December when we don't want to cook from scratch.

Same here, cleaning up and back to lego scooby doo. In-laws always do the best Christmas. We went there yesterday after having a nice morning here. They always have champagne and gourmet meats and cheeses and crackers.

Congratulations on cooking and hosting 18 keno. Plus the holidays in general. Thats so much work. I used to cook for everyone on christmas eve super duper gourmet, but only 13 i think was most. I couldn't hold my mother back from bringing non gourmet as well as others and released the menu to all happily. I plated one year before i realized that buffet style made sense. My wife's Aunt would always kick in a hundred or so she loved gourmet eats. I really respect that about her. Now our Christmas Eve is just appetizers that everybody brings. And I'm plenty happy to not do anything ;). Wife and I have been debating opening up to a big party. But I don't know sorry I'm going on here.

Ken, like the shepards pie idea for turkey. I think 2 14s are better than a big one, but sure maybe more work. At 500 degrees done in 2 hours.

We did a gourmet New Year's feast one year. Had all 8 kids plus one of my wife's sisters and her family. We had our house blessed by a Priest a had him stay for the meal. Prime Rib. It was a wonderful day, but lots of work.
