Finally made it up to actually visit Red Horn.

Those guys are going to be a big player very soon. Their stouts are heads and tails above the rest in Austin (except perhaps PHP's The Big LeBARRELski).

Looks like I'll be in Texas from the 22nd of sept until oct 1. Probably flying into Austin and staying there a few days, then possibly a trip to San Antonio, then a few days at TLU in Seguin and flying out of Dallas. Any recs? Not just beer related. Anyone up for meeting up for some beers do tell. Also thinking of Rangers vs Athletics on the 30th in Arlington if anyone is interested.

Most of the things to do in Austin are outdoors, music, food, or booze related activities (or some combination of all). Fall is my favorite "season" in Texas even if we really only have two seasons, hot and absurdly hot. Oh and I did mention FF to you of course and in your case, it'd still be worthwhile to wait in standby even if getting into a screening just comes down to pure luck.

22-24/9 Austin
24-26/9 San Antonio
26-30/9 Seguin, most likely a Friday afternoon visit of JK
30/9 quick visit of Highland Village (grew up there), Dallas and Rangers game at night
1/10 leave Dallas in the evening

Might add one more night at the start to Austin and arrive in Seguin on the 27th, not sure just yet.
