There is now a limit in place according to the Instagram. Which is nice adjustment as they have heard about how many people are excited for the party. I totally see where they are coming from with no limit then realizing the demand and setting a limit. Everything about the event sounds fun and delicious.

Here is the portion of the IG post where the limit got imposed.

@kienitzsusan We originally set no limit on ticket purchases, but so many people reached out concerned that they might not get a ticket if someone buys out a large chunk. The limit is now 8pp (VIP and GA sales will be combined and must be 8 or less.)

Also keep in mind I'm an old stay at home dad that doesn't get out much. I did laps one, three, and VIP. Out of those there were two that I would want to see in a bottle. More just hanging with a friend and being away for a bit.

All good! Event itself is always fun and I love that the space itself is so large now. Plenty of room. Just a commentary on the beers themselves. The BA Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough was intense.

I've been thinking about this since I saw him at the SBE meeting last night but, is Ken Schmidt the godfather of pastry stouts?

So a serious WHAT THE ****?! with Mostra. When you sell 400 “VIP” tickets and only 200 general admission tickets, what’s the point of buying “VIP”? It’s not going to be any less crowded during that first hour. Just a pure money grab.

This is shaping up to be Stone’s Anniversary Party all over again...

VIP does get you a few things that the GA does not give you; food, different glasswear, 30 minutes in limbo before you rush to beer, ability to buy a bottle of the anniversary beer. One big hope is that there is enough coffee assassin and bake for everyone in the VIP.

is anyone going early to get tickets in person on Saturday? There are only 300 VIP tickets.... maybe ticket sales will be a total cluster..... don't have a great sense for the local demand for $165 tickets to a beer party.

i didn't see the cost of the regular ticket on their IG, does anyone know?
If you're going to get tickets and only happen to have 6 friends, I can totally find a place for that 8th ticket...
But also that seems crazy high, was I the only one who expected like a 1-2 ticket limit?

amk Any chance you're going to get tickets? :)

I'm out of town this weekend so I'll be counting on SocalKicks or jan63 getting me a ticket (thanks guys!). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wow! We are truly humbled by the overwhelming response surrounding our 5th Anniversary Party. We want as many of you as possible to come out and celebrate with us, therefore we have decided to reduce the ticket limit to 2 per person.

Right, because they had no idea of what the response was going to be. It's not like Mike is tight with several of the top hype brewers across the country and has a very clear idea of how this all works.

Points given for ending up at a logically sound ticket limit, points subtracted for taking the typical "We couldn't have imagined..." route to it. I'm guessing the change ****** a lot of people's Friday night/Saturday morning plans if they'd figured on their buddy being able to cover them.

Man, everyone saved their good SDBW event for today.

Great Notion at BLAH
BA Night at O'Briens
HPB and Burgeon collabs at NPBC
Sour / Rare night at PPOB
Don't forget BA tap takeover night at RCNP. I'm here now to pick up bottles and they have insaaaaane stuff on tap, including BA No Hope for Rescue w/ Dark Horse coffee.

I closed on a condo today on the same block as NPBC, across the street from Toro, and one block from RCNP (not to mention everything else in North Park)... god help me. Think I'll stop by NPBC for a brew tonight and hope I don't get too drunk and decide to sleep on my condo's floor since I haven't moved yet.

I fully expect to look off my balcony and see Xul coming down 30th like
