Always fun drinking with you Xul and thanks for putting words to the Sap Ness Monster Speedway for me. As a thank you for that proper review, we went ahead and stole the rest of the gallon of water you and Shane brought and left at the table...hehehe. So, thanks for that. =)

Hah, I don't think he's exactly going to miss it. Great times hanging out with you and the crew at Alesmith. I woke up craving more of the Chocolate Chip Cookie BA Vietnamese Speedway. As others said, it was a bit of a weaker year overall but that was outrageous.

Good running into those of you I saw at Blind Lady and TigerTiger. Great Notion stuff started kicking right as I arrived at BLAH but managed to get a few pours and closing the night with Cellarmaker hops was very nice.

14/10 would bang the Franbo and Griffith J Griffith again.

Also, **** Beer Week. I’m ded!

Little outdoor taco stand sets up on Friday and Saturday nights around 10p at Brothers Taco Shop (I think that’s the new name), right by red wing. Just like it was under previous taco place there, those late night tacos are considerably better than daytime offerings inside the restaurant. Highly recommend, perfect late night snack

I saw that from my balcony and was wondering why a food truck was parked there

If you skipped Speedway Grand Prix but want to try the highlights, four of the top variants are pouring at the main bar right now. Chocolate Chip Cookie BAVSS is easily the best but all four pouring today are worth trying.
+1 on CCCBAVSS

LIFE-changing.... hope they bottle it sometime down the line.....

CCCBAVSS was great and all but its the sweetest, most pastry beer i have ever had from alesmith and all the sweet really smothered the barrel imo. 2 oz was plenty....BA Wafflesmith was much more balanced and a pretty solid vip lap winner with my group....

Come in today to get your hands on pours and growler fills of some Speedway Grand Prix winners! See below for these special offerings and 32oz fill prices.

Apple Cinnamon Speedway $18

Caramel Macchiato Speedway $18

Baklava Speedway $18

Brownie Batter Speedway $18

Order of the Anvil exclusive growler fills:

Toasted Coconut Vanilla Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout
2016 Barrel-Aged Vietnamese Speedway Stout

Callabapalooza was awesome. A great festival with a ton of great beer. I woke up realizing how many beers I missed out on though. Great to see Sebowski rmaste6282 and blackzag05

That was a really great fest, very well-run and good vibes all-around. Got there a bit late and ended up pouring our (Gravity Heights) brand new collab at Council’s booth, which was super fun.... didn’t have much time after that, but did get to taste some tasty treats from Amplified courtesy of Sebowski

Sebowski was trying to get me hammered and he mostly succeeded. The BA stout and BA quad were fantastic.

In honor of Veterans Day, the @alesmithtastingroom is featuring “Because of the Brave” Brett Saison. Notes of pineapple and cherry pie, and a balancing funk are the highlights of this highly Brett driven beer. Thank you to all of those who have served our country.

We’re proud to offer a 15% discount to active and retired military every day of the year!"

I legit never knew they had a military discount. Makes sense being that close to the base though.

ALSO:
BAVSS '16
LSD (lotza, sea salt viet, double barrel)
BAVSS w/ coconut/vanilla

are all on draft for member fills (according to Mr. Izor). The coconut/vanilla is different from the grand prix since that one used the regular speedway and not the vietnamese coffee version. Odds are that fills will be roughly $42 each

Grand Prix was Toasted Coconut Vanilla BAVSS, so it should be the same beer. Either way, awesome list of member fills.

Meh, it ain't no Mikkeller Breakfast Kløb, but it's decent enough.
