Was certainly gonna get one for myself but all gone! :(
Surprised theory members snatched all those up while the monster tones made it through w/o selling out. Used to be the MPs were the endangered beers while the sours did time. Times they are a changing.

Sir, please, do not come between me an the opportunity to complain!
It was limit 2 with 34 bottles so 17 people could have potentially sold it out.

I can't for the life of me get my MT emails, Theory or not, to go to my inbox. I just tried to create some new filters and hopefully fix that. So, I missed the 1.5L but I don't really need to spend that money anyway... Any techies here want to help me fix this problem I've always had but to lazy to figure out?

I just noticed that my MT filters work but league emails come from some random email address with a VIA @ league email address... I wonder if that's it?

Sounds like you got it basically figured out. I use gmail so I just tagged the first couple as important so the rest of them continue to come in the same way.

Yeah I'm not picking up any this time around either. All the beers end up on tap, so if I find one I really like, I can easily pick up a 4 pack then.

Unless Dinosaur World goes the same way it did last time where it just barely made it through public sale and basically there were no extra 4pks available at the shop.

Wasn't that one of their first hazy releases and they weren't producing as many of them? I too passed on cans as I don't know for sure if I will make it before the cutoff.

Dinosaur World had two releases. The first one might have been smaller, but I'm not certain that one sold out. DW had some buzz after the first release, so the second batch was the one that sold out.

Hey everyone! Pickups begin today in SD/LA. Should have most of the beers from this month's sale available on draft. I also got a case of Monsters' Park Aged in St. Croix Rum Barrels sent to both locations for a League-exclusive on-site consumption bottle. Remember that you have to bring a friend with you to drink those onsite bottles. Will be doing the same thing for Portland when pickups begin there next Tuesday. League totes should be arriving in Portland today, but I'm going to confirm that once the shipment arrives.

Theory members: I had told you guys there was news coming this week on Theory crowler fills. Had a call with the GMs at all locations and we are pushing it back a week or so to ensure everything goes smoothly when we launch that.

2017 members: Checked with the embroidery shop and they said it was way more stuff than they imagined, so that'll be ready in another week. I'll be sure to send out an email on that when they're ready. Also finalizing details on the league points archive sale, and that will be happening before month's end, so stay tuned for details!

Cheers,

Steven Michael

Let me know if you need to find a new embroiderer for next time. It shouldn't take that long. Looking forward to Theory crowlers!

Haha I also lagged on taking them to the embroidery shop, but yeah it's taking a while. I don't have a car so dropping them all off was more of a voyage instead of a 5-minute drive:p

2017 League Points People: If you were eligible for the archive sale, I just removed the bottle limits since we are opening up the sale tomorrow to 2018 members. Just wanted to give you a heads up that now is your chance to score as much of whatever you want!

Cheers,

Yeah, that's not going to happen.

But im sure what will happen is Fieldwork will continue to put the same IPA on 10 different taps w/ different names and Oakland homers will line up to point their smartphones at a pint glass and elbow for room in an overcrowded beer garden.*

*(Until they sell obvs, at which point seemingly everyone will have thought they were "always kinda over-rated")

Unlike MT, with their 10 different versions of hazy ipas and pastry stouts?

And you think MT would be less crowded than Fieldwork? Plus only the Fieldwork (haven't been to Sac) location is overwhelmingly crowded these days.

I don't drink haze stuffs so I have to take your word for it but im 100% confident I could pick out the barrel treatments blind on a monsters park flight, etc. Last few flights I had at fieldwork literally tasted like they ****** up and poured me a few of the same beer.

Also, I understand no one agrees with me.

They’re slowly inching up the coast.

Although maybe the next announced location will be another leapfrog up to the the PNW before hitting the Bay Area.
The reason we jumped up to the PNW so quickly is because a turnkey opportunity presented itself to us where we were able to move in and open in basically a month.

I don't hate on breweries for selling, I actually find the aversion to that in the beer community to be really strange. It's a great outcome for a small business that they're so successful that someone pays them a bunch of money for what they've built.

I can't remember the last non-hazy IPA that I've had from MT, though I've also basically given up on their hoppy stuff. Even if it's not technically "hazy," they all seem to still have that "pillowy" mouthfeel and complete lack of bitterness which I'm just over.

And it's not like I think Fieldwork is substantially better or anything like that, I just place them on the same tier. Certainly better than Devil's Canyon, or Cleopatrickwhogivesafuck Queasy, but not something I desperately want down the street from my house or office either.

Yeah, I was really disappointed with the offerings all 3 times I have been to MT LA. I don't understand why you would open three breweries and just brew iterations of the same haze mank at each place. I guess putting (Brewed in Portland) on the menu is just another way to sell another 8% citra/mosaic haze beer.

If you search back through BA's posts, you'll see that Jacob was really proud of the mouthfeel/finish/etc of the IPAs and they actively worked on getting them to that point. So I think the folks there just really, really like that in a hoppy beer - and clearly it sells quite well these days. I don't blame them, I just find the criticism that Fieldwork is too monotone in that regard to be a bit strange.

Probably because they like selling beer. Did you expect them to dedicate new capacity to brewing weizenbocks and malty amber ales?
