Hi, folks... It's been a while. Turns out that moving everything from 11 buildings into a single building takes a lot of long days. There's barely time to drink beer.
Obviously we also opened the new restaurant and tap room, which is a whole new adventure. And we are still figuring things out as we go. One of those things is the pricing on growlers, and it looks like we didn't do quite enough research on that one. As of yesterday we altered the prices on growler fills to get them more in line with other breweries. Core beers like IPA and White Rascal go to $12, then it scales up depending on strength, tap room specialties, and so forth.
Also...we are working on getting some 32 oz growlers. I believe it's just a matter of getting a vessel that works with our counter pressure growler filler, which can be a little trickier than filling them with a tube. But it also means that the growler can hang out in your fridge just like bottles and cans, as the filler will keep almost all of the oxygen out of there. But once it's open, you want to finish that sucker.
While growlers aren't really my area, I thought I'd chime in here to let you all know about the change. We had been looking at our prices already as we dial things in, but getting some feedback from BA is very helpful. 'Tis much appreciated. Especially any comment that made me laugh.
Alrighty... time to go fill the first Bolder Weisse barrels in the new facility. Hopefully we'll see you all up there soon. I'll drink with you.
Rock on.
