The Barley Crusher adjustment

Just bought a The Barley Crusher from Austin Homebrew. It was their last one on the shelf (it was probably used for display). The adjustments knobs have less "pattern" for gripping than some other pictures I've seen of the The Barley Crusher. Maybe this is very old....

Anyway, how do you adjust it? I can't just use my fingers to turn the knobs. Everyone else use some wise grip of something to adjust with?

As I recall, there is a screw on there that will loosen/tighten the knob, which by default is pretty tight. I just loosened that screw a little bit and am able to adjust by turning the knob easily by hand.
