well it's been in the fermenter for 6 days now .....today i tasted it.....:mug:.....it tasted like warm beer....i guess i'm on the right track.....but i will wait 8 more days before i bottle.......
 
Rather than setting a schedule for the bottling, let the yeast tell you when it's ready to bottle. You can bottle when the specific gravity is the same for 3 days but if you wait a little longer, the beer will become much better. I know it's hard to wait for that first batch but 3 weeks will be better than two. Give it a week after bottling for the carbonation to start and sample one. Wait another week to sample the next and I'll bet you'll like the taste better. Some of mine needed 2 to 3 months to get really good.
