Hey everyone.

This is one of the first recipes I put together myself. I'm trying to get close to a Sam Adams Tasman Red. Can you guys let me know if you see any red flags or have other comments? Beersmith recipe below:

Boil Size: 7.04 gal
Post Boil Volume: 6.50 gal
Bottling Volume: 5.10 gal
Estimated OG: 1.068 SG
Estimated Color: 45.0 SRM
Estimated IBU: 58.3 IBUs
Brewhouse Efficiency: 70.00 %
Est Mash Efficiency: 79.5 %
Boil Time: 60 Min

Ingredients:

12 lb 6 oz Pale 2 Row
1 lb 12 oz Special B
1 lb 2 oz Carafa III

.5 oz Galaxy 60 min
.5 oz Topaz 60 min
.5 oz Galaxy 10 min
.5 oz Topaz 10 min
Irish moss 10 min

Wyeast 1056

1 oz Galaxy Dry hop 7 days secondary

Mash
-----------
3.25 gallons at 164 for 60 min
Batch sparge .75 gal at 168
Batch sparge 3.66 gal at 168
 
You might get more input by posting this in the Recipes/Ingredients forum instead of the recipe database, which is meant for proven recipes. That said, I really enjoy Tasman and am interested to see what you come up with.
 
Thanks for the input. This was a pretty good beer, although it wasn't really a tasman clone. Too much special b made it a bit too dark and chocolatey.

I made some adjustments. New thread here.
