So i live in WV, and the water in the area is heavy with lime in the water. I have done one brew with tap water and it turned out great. The brew that i have fermenting now i did it with spring water, i bought 6 one gallon jugs and used that water. it was very cheap and only cost 70 cents per gallon.

My question has anyone tried this before and if so did the water make a difference.

Or would having the impuraties in the tap water help with taste or whatever else?

Thanks in advance

I've only got 5 batches done but I've done 4 using tap water and tried one using purified drinking water and couldn't detect any difference. Of course I have a whole house filtration system so that may be why
