Can someone help me out? What is the real difference between the three companies? I am looking to get some 2-row, a bag of pale, and DME.

I would go CM-2row and CM-pale. Just because I have used them and have good results and the price is right. Also, the bags from canadian and UK co's are 55lbs versus 50. So 5 more lbs.

DME you are limited two 2-3 types, from only briess I think. Did you find the DME? Or are you saying you can't find it?

GW was out of two row and pale for the season - so you can't order that - forgot to mention this.

Ive used gw.and breiss 2 row in the past. Its 1L lighter in color than CM. I love the cm we got last time. I have had.nothing but excellent results with it. I am 4 brews into it.

yeah I should have said "excellent" results. The brews I have been making have been fantastic.

Ha! indeed. When I reread what I said, it was pretty luke warm. Truth is - that CM-2ROW rocks. I remember ordering it the first time though - was nervous about it. People described it like it was superman.

Can't recall the price, but I think for 1/3 it was like 12-18$ Basically take a full bag cost, add $6 and divide that by the total splitting.

What brand of maris otter?

The Bairds Marris Otter comes to about $41 a bag, this will be my first time using it but the price seemed pretty good

Baird's is very good MO - I bought a couple bags of it and have been very happy with the results. I read somewhere they called Baird's MO the Cadillac of MO. Again - you can't go wrong.

Brehuh - a couple guys have bought DME from the first two orders - if you cruise back through the final order you could check in to see how they liked it, and which type they picked. Check the first and second group buy thread.

Yeah my silverado makes the pump tap out at $75 with my credit card - and the tank isn't always full at that point.

Might as well take that last keg too, got the kegerator up and running again now that it's too warm to store kegs in the closet, but that requires cutting the handles off to be able to fit 4, so it won't hurt to replace those taken out of fermenter duty...

Nope you are correct - Dan was just telling me he is good to go whenever - but I will let him speak for himself.

Hey gerglegat, you are located in Albany still right? I was thinking to cut down on cost we could drive together or one of us could pick our stuff up and split the gas. Depending on when this goes down I might be in Mayfield, so we will see. Let me know what you think. If anyone else around the area wants to do this, let me know.
