It has sold but, knock on wood, I've been buying and selling on the internet since the usenet days. I only buy from people established in the community or pay with PayPal using a credit card and pay the fees for the seller if they ask. When I sell I ask for fees to be paid if the seller doesn't trust me. As best as I can recall sellers in communities like this have generally been pretty quick to make problems right. I did have a guy here, on my first purchase here, fail to ship until I filed a claim with Paypal. He then threw a public fit. I got the item though and he got the money (though he claimed I owed him more for some reason...) I later resold it here too without an issue like every other transaction here.

I've had far more problems on eBay, to the extent I recently gave up and closed my account there. Not joking, most of my transactions there the last 5 years have ended in a dispute due to failure to ship, items so low quality they were unfit for use, or were not as described. Many had to go as far as a credit card dispute, which I ALWAYS won.

Shew, yeah that's the kind of thing that would turn me off. I know there are lots of awesome honest people, by it's hard to know no a days.

It pays to be careful. Made a couple purchases here; all good. I’ve even done a few Craigslist buys. Really have to be careful there. A fellow in town bought a car on CL, and when they met him at the Walmart parking lot; they robbed of the cash he brought.
It’s not always a sure deal, but if you are going to someone’s house; check the neighborhood on google earth. Look up the owner and property on the county gis. Search the owner’s name. Did a CL purchase of an SS Brewtech kettle and found out that the owner was a doctor. We had only exchanged first names. I suppose he was more suspicious of me than I was of him!
