So unfortunately there was an incident with the Heady... This package was ridiculously packed, like the dude used 2 entire rolls of heavy packing tape. So my scissors weren't cutting it (literally) so I had to get out my trusty pocket knife. Everything was moving along nicely as I was liberating the bottles, but then I got to a can... And sliced it wide open like Jack the damn Ripper... Spraying that sweet nectar all over me and the room... I was able to salvage about 10 oz that's currently in a mason jar in the fridge. I would've drank it right away but I've got quite the hangover from my IPA that I just tapped last night...

Rookie mistake.... I usually use a slotted letter opener

Mine should be arriving on the east coast Thursday next week. Hi 24 Lo 13 where its going keep your eyes out.

I think some of you are overthinking the insulation thing haha...after a day in this weather, I dont feel like the whole box is at the same temp. If you want to wait, id do that vs trying to insulate.

Awesome box!!! With ridiculous packaging, that actually caused a casualty by being overpacked... More on that later.

Here's the list!

Heady Topper
NEBCO - Gandhi Bot
DC Brau - On the Wings of Armageddon
Pub Dog - Rabid Hop
Pub Dog - Fubark
DuClaw - Misery
Weyerbacher - Insanity
Ithaca - Flower Power

-Tröegs-
Pale Ale
Java Head
Mad Elf
Hop Back
Perpetual IPA
Dream Weaver
Tröegenatör
Nugget nectar

This package was ridiculously packed...

Anyway, this was a great haul with some epic beers from top notch east coast breweries!!! Thanks G-Love!!

I told ya, ocd packaging on my part...

I laugh at myself while I'm doing it, but I just can't stop protecting that precious beer.

I'm glad you salvaged some heady. I'm really glad you're happy with the haul. I love the giving part of this game as much or more than the receiving. :)

Cheers!

I've had a chance to read up on a few of the beers that I wasn't familiar with and am even more excited to start getting into these now! You put together a helluva good package here and I really appreciate it! It's gonna be a great weekend!

Doc phunk,

That wings of Armageddon is super fresh. It was canned about a week ago. The nugget nectar is also freshy fresh.

I thought I put a Duclaw Retribution in there too. I hope I didn't leave out. Let me know if I did.

There was a Retribution, I forgot to list it. I'm really excited about that one, I love big BA beers!

I drive for beer a lot. I love road tripping and beer stops are always a big part of them. :)

I do the same, after like the 7th stop my wife starts getting tired of it....need to build her beer shopping endurance somehow haha

Great selection.

Mine is out for delivery today. It's perfect timeing because Weather.com is saying a 60% chance of 2-4 inches of snow tonight at their location. They can stay in and crack some brews.

Woohoo! Got this sweet haul from dotJerdot!

I've had Gandhi before from a trade with Remmy in the "what are you drinking now" thread, and I absolutely love it. I've been dying to try Sea Hag and 668, so you made my wishes come true! I've never heard of the other brewery, but every damn one looks delicious, and I can't wait to try them. After all, isn't that what this whole thing is about?

As for staying in tonight, yeah right! I grew up in Northern Michigan. I'm headed out to a hockey game in an hour!

It's cold as a witches nipple out there and the wind is howling like a martha floccin banshee, so I was nervous as all get up when I got the word the package had landed. No casualties, although I think I made it just in time!

Cathedral, getting stuff from places we didnt know existed is exactly what this is about! Let us know how rhat Berkshire is, ive never heard of them either. I assume they are good since it was sent.

I'm just glad everything made it safely. I hope you enjoy everything!

That homebrew on the end won a competition. And I didn't get nugget nectar in time, but the flying mouflan is aged nugget nectar, so hopefully it's a good substitute.

Awesome thanks for the beer.

My package landed a couple hours ago as well

You are going to love the Berkshire's they have a small distribution and make great beer. Its always kept and sold cold in the stores. Dean's Beans is a shelf beer that is one of the best coffee porters I have had. The 2013 seasonal barelywine blew me away when I had it a week ago which made me pick that brewery to send.

It was safely intercepted by my neighbor, who took it inside so it didn't freeze. I am not going home until tomorrow, so no pics until then. I can't wait to open that bad boy up!

Pretty sure that's gotta be Tröegs entire catalog!! Really stoked about all of these. There's just a few that I've had but they're all things I'd happily have traded for again.

Wow. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the first time anything from Pub Dog has ever gone into bubble wrap. Very cool...

Lol... True! I haven't had the IPA, but my beer guy said it was pretty solid. I figured it was worth a shot. I bought myself one too.

I know the Fubark is good though. :p

Do you buy your beer in MD or PA? I'm right on the line as I see you are. I drive by Pub Dogs production brewery 2-3 times a week. Can't believe anyone on Hbt has even heard of them. :mug:
